L'Shana Tova - לשנה טובה

At this time of year, we at עול"ם ~ The Jewish Crohn's & Colitis Support Group (JCCSG) would like to wish you and your family a happy and prosperous year; It shall be a year of Nachas and Parnasah, and of course a Healthy year...

As we look back upon the year past, we are proud that we have made some significant accomplishments this year:

First of all... We played the key role in passing the Crohn's & Colitis Fairness Act - NY State Restroom Access Act, and got it signed by the governor, our Advocacy was proudly praised by elected legislators, especially by Senator Simcha Felder, and we are finalizing the printing of the cards, soon to be announced how and where you can get it!

We provided Medical referrals, As expediting wait time for faster appointments, and easier access to top medical care for hundreds of people who reached out to us, And saved lots of money to them. While connecting with more doctors and hospitals throughout New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Maryland.

We gave Support, as visiting in the hospital, while working with the Medical professionals to open lines of dialogues between patients and physicians, to promote better adherence to medications and other treatments. To demystify the diseases & surgical options.
And Provided post-surgical respite services, to go away and rest up!

We supplied Information for over a thousand people and their families, B"H navigated Shidduhim, formulating and sharing the correct medical information to all parties involved to help alleviate concerns. מזל טוב to those who got engaged!

We were able to spread awareness while giving interviews for the Bina and Wellspring Magazines.

More education with more events and our yearly Ladies support group gathering, which featured An Integrative Approach in IBD and Shining through your inner core.

In addition to the continuous efforts in research in better understanding IBD and hopefully a Road to prevention.

Last but not least… our outstanding Women’s Retreat! Where the participants got to leave their illness at the door and reconnect to their power for 3 days! They danced, celebrated, and Cried and Laughed together. They walked out with a breath of fresh air; ready to conquer whatever comes about with the new filled energy and self-awareness they received.

At this opportunity, we would like to express our deep appreciation for your ongoing support of our mission. Especially those who showed that they #Care, answered our call and donated campaign. A big shout out to the individuals who helped us raise money and had their own pages! It is only with your continuous dedication that we are able to improve the quality of life for the people affected by Crohn's and Colitis and their families.
